SPE Technical talk speaker : Henk Kombrink
After completing his MSc in Physical Geography, Henk regretted not having done a Geology degree, so he embarked on a PhD studying the Carboniferous of the Netherlands. This got him hooked on the geology of the North Sea, which he continued working on for several years in various positions.
From the age of 40, when he was let go by a consultancy firm in Aberdeen when the pandemic unfolded, he was forced to become a little bit more creative. This resulted in becoming the editor for GEO EXPRO and launching North Sea Core, a company that distributes “unwanted” core to the global geoscience community.
