The London SPE Net Zero Gaia Committee is delighted to bring you the next in our Net Zero webinar series, with a deep dive into Geothermal Projects in the UK, and a comparison of two leading Lithium Brine projects.
We are joined by Martin Pujol, Reservoir and Direct-Use Lead at JRG Energy and a senior geothermal hydrogeologist with expertise in geology, reservoir modeling, and geothermal project management. With over 14 years of experience, he has played a key role in geothermal and deep-water well projects, specializing in wellsite geology, well testing, wireline geophysics, and 3D reservoir flow and heat modeling. Martin spent over a decade at Rockwater, Australia’s leading low-enthalpy geothermal consultancy, and later served as a project manager at CFG Services in France, overseeing large-scale geothermal projects globally. He has a proven track record of delivering successful direct-use geothermal solutions.
Our second speaker, Tom Olver, is a geologist working as a Project and Research Coordinator at Geothermal Engineering Ltd (GEL), managing and coordinating various research and grant funded projects. Tom joined GEL shortly after completing a PhD with the Earth Science department at the University of Bristol. GEL are involved in a range of research projects ranging from the support of single MSc students to large scale Horizon 2020 funded projects.
